Marsa Alam is located on the junction between the Red Sea coast road and the road from Luxor and Edfu. Originally it has been a small fishing village but the construction of the Marsa Alam International Airport: the latest International Airport opened in Egypt, has transformed the city into an exclusive holiday resort ideal for fishing activities with sharks, lobsters, and turtles among the catches. Divers and snorkellers can experience an impressive spectrum of invertebrates, soft corals, sponges and hundreds of spectacular fish species.
